Antony Bryant & Kathy Charmaz bring together leading researchers and practitioners of the method from the US, the UK, Australia and Europe to represent all the major standpoints within Grounded Theory, demonstrating the richness of the approach. The contributions cover a wide range of perspectives on the method, covering its features and ramifications, its intricacies in use, its demands on the skills and capabilities of the researcher and its position in the domain of research methods.
The SAGE Handbook of Grounded Theory is an indispensable reference source for academics and researchers across many disciplines who want to develop their understanding of the Grounded Theory method.
Provides a very broad overview of discussions in the field of Grounded Theory. The book contains something about every related aspect. I have adopted a few texts in different courses I teach on qualitative research methods.
This textbook provides a comprehensive overview of this grounded theory specially for those students working and want to deepening their understanding of this theory.
A good resource for qualitative elements of research methods modules
Essential textbook for any researcher using grounded theory approach.
I recommend this book. It provides the reader with a full overview of what grounded theory is and explores critical aspects of it in great depth.
The SAGE Handbook of Grounded Theory is a comprehensive work on grounded theory perspectives for respective research designs. It gives a very good overview on the various concerns and aspects related to the design of research based on the idea of grounded theory. I used the handbook both in the international master course our institute realizes together with the UN-University in Bonn as well as 'ordinary' master courses at the Geography Department at Bonn University - and of course I recommended SAGE publications in general to the courses participants.
A great resource for all MSc and doctoral level students engaged in Grounded Theory research. The book is accessible to all levels, but perhaps more as a reference tool and not a working tool, due to its size and portability.
A comprehensive introduction to contemporary grounded theory. Very good.
Due to this being quite a specific research approach it is only recommended. However the major application, and variations in GT are covered well
Good reference book
