Dr. Martha (Martie) Boulton is a graduate of Teachers College, Columbia University (EdD., 2016). Area of research is substance use by student nurses and the effect of perceived faculty support on stress and substance use, as well as student attitudes toward peer substance use. Graduate of Case Western University (DNP, 2009). Area of research was student nurses’ attitudes toward chemically impaired nurses. Currently works as an adjunct clinical psych instructor for Fairfield University. Owns a private practice , Changing Perspectives LLP in Westport providing care as a psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist and a Licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC) and an Advanced Practice Addictions nurse (CARN-AP) since 1996. Practice includes psychiatric evaluations, med management and therapy for clients experiencing psychiatric and substance abuse clients. Many referrals from HAVEN.
