Marc A. Zimmerman

Marc Zimmerman is the Marshall H. Becker Collegiate Professor of Public Health at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. He is Director of the Prevention Research Center, and Director of the CDC-funded Michigan Youth Violence Prevention Center. Dr. Zimmerman’s research focuses on health and resiliency of adolescents, adolescent substance abuse, family influences on adolescent health, and AIDS prevention.

Jean Shoveller, PhD, is a professor at University of British Columbia’s (UBC) School of Population and Public Health and program director at the Epidemiology and Population Health and Drug Treatment Program, British Columbia Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS. She established the UBC Youth Sexual Health Team in 2005 to focus on sexual and reproductive health outcomes among young people.
