Anita Wilson, AAS, RN, BSN, MSN, ANP-C, FNP-C is a Lead Adjunct Professor at Maryville University and practices as an FNP at Washington University School of Medicine. She received her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from St. Louis Community College–Forest Park, her Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Missouri–St. Louis, her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from and her Post-Master’s Degree from University of Missouri–St. Louis. Anita is certified as an adult and a family nurse practitioner. She is also certified as a CPR/AED and First Aide instructor for the American Red Cross. Anita served as a traveling nurse in intensive care units across the U.S. including Florida, Mississippi, California, Hawaii, and Washington. Anita received the Life Saver Award in 2008 from the American Red Cross for saving a 13-year-old child after drowning in a pool. She also received the Clinician Award for Retail Excellence “Unsung Hero Award” from Retail Clinician Magazine.
