Dr. Ahmed A. Abdel-Hamid, MD, PhD Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, Egypt
After his graduation from Mansoura medical school, Abdel-Hamid finished his Master degree in basic medical research in endocrinology. Afterwards he obtained his PhD in basic medical science from the school of medicine, Mansoura University. Then he continued his researches both at the clinical as well as the basic levels focusing on cellular and molecular endocrinology. He is interested in diabetes, its signal transduction targeting for a novel therapy for diabetes and its cardio-vascular burden. As a physician and scientist he believes that one should always look for out of the box solutions for the common diseases affecting humans which hinder their development. Together with his colleagues, they try to find a simple, cost-effective, and at the same time final solution for diabetes and its hazards by transferring what is recently established on the molecular level to patients at clinical grounds.
