Samantha Hurn Exeter University, UK

Professor Samantha Hurn is Associate Professor in Anthropology, Programme Director for the MA and PhD in Anthrozoology, and Director of the Exeter Anthrozoology as Symbiotic Ethics (EASE) working group at the University of Exeter. Sam has extensive experience as a multi-species ethnographer. Her research to date has explored hunting, livestock production, agricultural shows, companion animals, veganism, veterinary palliative care and euthanasia, animals as religious subjects, human-wildlife conflict, eco-tourism and wildlife conservation, stray dog management, and animal welfare in a range of contexts in the UK, Europe and sub-Saharan Africa. Sam has published widely on multi-species relations.
