The first five chapters of this book are particularly helpful because they cover areas that many books ignore but which are central to undergraduates getting started with SPSS, e.g. data entry, frequency tables, charts. I will recommend these chapter to my undergraduates; they are very helpfully presented. I will also recommend the book to my postgraduate students because the section on inferential statistics is comprehensive and includes helpful advice as to how to use statistical tests in SPSS.

This is a very helpful textbook for research students with an excellent balance of concepts and theory and their practical application.
Examples are extremely helpful and the right level of maths is provided for this student group.
