Rajiv completed his M.A. in Economics from the State University of New York, Stony Brook, USA and M.Phil and Ph.D. from the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University (Delhi). He specializes in Macroeconomics, Applied Game Theory and issues related to Indian industrialisation and development and has taught at the Shri Ram College of Commerce (Delhi University) for the last 30 years.

Praveen Jha is on the faculty of the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has been a visiting faculty at the University of Bremen, Germany since 1999. His major areas of research interest include economics of education, labour economics, agricultural economics and public finance with special focus on the developing countries.
