SAGE Publishing launches Journal of Concussion

London, UK. SAGE Publishing today announces the launch of the Journal of Concussion, a peer-reviewed open access journal focused on providing a multi-disciplinary, broad-based approach to research on head injury and its care.

Aimed at a wide audience from clinicians to engineers to patient groups, the journal provides an innovative forum for discussion of research relating to the discovery of new diagnoses and underlying pathophysiological mechanisms. Through the publication of cutting edge research the journal aims to impact the development of treatment and patient outcomes.

Journal of Concussion Editor-in- Chief, Dr Barry Seemungal, commented on the launch:

“Modern head injury care is now a truly multi-disciplinary field, with the focus on practice and treatment involving a wide variety of specialisms including neurosurgery, physiotherapy, psychiatry, neurology, otology and ophthalmology.
