I found this book a very useful resource that I would recommend to learners. It is organised in a very logical manner with subjects divided into realistic chunks for reading. Activities supported learners both to prepare for and to check learning . The level of detail meant that I felt I could recommend it to those completely new to teaching and to those with some prior experience.

I really liked their PTLLS book and this is of the same high standard. It is very comprehensive, has useful chapter overviews and summaries, great activities and some very handy checklists. We will be recommending this to all our AET trainees

Essential for those wishing to support people with further education in life long learning. Principles and theories around effective learning were covered well giving learners deeper understanding and types of learning and how to keep people engaged.
