Dr. Manuel Lillo-Crespo is an associate professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Alicante and a member of the Management Board of HLA Vistahermosa Hospital. He has a PhD in medical anthropology and nursing, Master’s degree in science of nursing and research, Master’s degree in social and cultural anthropology (specialization in health and medical anthropology), Master’s in Business Administration (executive level), as well as bachelor in science of nursing. He is a member of the Nursing Department at University of Alicante and International Mobility Coordinator. He has been the team lead and manager for 11 international research projects funded by the European Commission until now. His areas of expertise are management and administration for nursing and medical development, medical anthropology, and educational research. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, fellow of the Romanian Society of Pneumology, and academic of the Nursing Academy at the Comunidad Valenciana in Spain. He has mentored more than 10 PhD dissertations and has published more than 70 manuscripts in scientific journals and several book chapters. He is a member of the editorial board and peer-reviewer for various impact factor journals.
