SAGE Publishing welcomes European View in partnership with the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies

February 27, 2018

SAGE Publishing is pleased to announce that from 2018 it is publishing the open access (OA) journal European View (EUV), the official journal of the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies.

Providing a platform for EU-focused policy debate, European View is focused on exploring contemporary themes pertinent to European politics, ranging from European security to the future of the Eurozone, from a centre-right perspective. The journal invites contributions from global academics, politicians and opinion makers.

Tomi Huhtanen, Editor-in-Chief of European View and Executive Director, Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies, remarked:

European View has always published interesting, well researched, and in-depth articles. Moving to SAGE, it will be a part of a leading portfolio of international relations and politics journals, building on the wider debates on central European issues. We look forward to working with SAGE and to taking advantage of the prestige and global offering that both the portfolio and SAGE’s reach will be able to give the journal.

We believe that this partnership with SAGE will not only support our expanded OA offerings but also expand the reach and accessibility of the journal as well as its quality. With SAGE’s history within the field, we believe SAGE can offer our established readership and authors an improved publishing arrangement – one we are convinced will benefit our authors, readers and the Martens Centre.”

Miranda Nunhofer, Executive Director, Humanities and Social Science Journals, SAGE Publishing, added:

European View is a well-established and leading journal within its field, publishing themed issues on contemporary European politics – which within the current political climate, will no doubt contribute to a growing global body of commentary and debate. We are delighted to be partnering with the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies, a longstanding organization aligned with our own publishing goals of disseminating high-quality accessible content. We look forward to working together to further develop the journal reach, content and position as a leading forum for European politics and scholarship.”
