This is a really useful book that covers an excellent range of key issues. It is written in a clear and accessible style, and the addition of a companion website is welcome.
Very contemporary chapter titles, draws the interest of the reader. Good coverage of the bread and butter historial aspects of management theory brought into a modern and current context. Explanation of leadership concepts at the begining of each section before placing in a wide range of examples should be welcomed by students. A very versatile book for multiprofsssional cohorts. Web resources excellent.
This is an extremely thorough text with a very wide range of reasearch. I will find the chapter covering spiritual leadership useful to use with participants from our faith communities. The online teaching tool-kit is amazing.
This is an excellent overall introduction to Leadership and does "as it says on the tin"
Some may say it is a little dry, but the fact that it is so comprehensive more than compensates for this.
This book is well written, clear and accessible by students at different levels, interested in studying School Leadership.
This book is very detailed and critiques numerous leaderships styles in depth.

a solid text in a crowded field
This text will support the growth of the next generation of ward and ultimately professional leaders. There is an ease about the book that will support and encourage the development of leadership. This text guides but does not pontificate and because of this will enable growth of the individual.
Some people suggest that leaders are born but truthfully they need to guidance to develop the skills that are so admirable in a true leader, and this text supports this development.
There is nothing in this book that suggests leadership is easy but it does give the reader the necessary skills and theory to enable their true leadership style to be developed and nurtured to support the development of the future leaders of the Profession.
The text is eminantly readable and the layout is user friendly.
