We having been looking for a generic text for our new course that is about to start and we will be using this as an essential text. The theory level is very appropriate to the knowledge required for the Level 7 qualification. The theory that it relates to is very sound, as is the guided further reading at the end of chapters.
Interesting approach to leadership. This complements the standard texts. Book will be recommended on Managing and Leading Change module and other organisational modules. However, it will form a core part of the new MSc degree on change and leadership
A masterly and contemporary perspective on all aspects of leadership theory and practice. The Chapter on Multiple Intelligences of Leadership differentiates this book from the rest of the field!
Excellent on core aspects of practising leadership, to be considered if we expand our course offering to not only models but also skills.
this is very up to date, readable and offering a balanced critical perspective
Well written and expands on a number of key aspects of both leadership and management practice.
The text, supported by excellent materials on the companion website, provides a comprehensive approach to leadership and management.
Excellent book for all students in particular post graduate students. The book contains all the relevant theory and is easily read and remains interesting.
This is a useful text for students who are new to the subject. It provides comprehensive lists of further reading and the discussion questions are thought provoking for the student
This is a good text that has given more indepth reading for the PGCE/Cert Ed Curriculum and Professional Assignment. The students found this very useful and I have requested this for our library resources
